Edit with iOS iPhoto - Import to OSX iPhoto (Retain originals)

What's the best way to do this and not compromise on quality?

I've tired 'sharing' via iTunes but the pictures are downsized.
I've tried 'sharing' via camera roll which works well but you can only share 1 picture at a time.

Any other options?

Any update to this?

I don't think yesterday's update makes it any better.

I just want to edit on my iPad and sync to my Mac, retaining the originals, not downsizing.
