Editing/Converting DVD files(.vob)

I have .vob files that I extracted from some DVD's using DVD Backup and Mac the Ripper. I also have DVD2OneX.

What I need to do is edit (shorten) some of the .vob files, and join them but IMovie won't import those files. Is there a program I can use to edit those files?

Or is there any way to convert those files to Imovie compatible media? I tried to use Quiktime to convert, but it doesn't recognize .vob files either.

You can use DiVA to convert the VOB-files to some format both QuickTime and iMovie understand. Good luck!
