Editing itunes playlist on a shared PC

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have my itunes library on a external WD 2TB external drive connected to my mac mini, sharing music with other PCs in the house. I would like to edit my playlist while on the PC, however, have not be able to find a way to do this. Can someone pls provide me with some guidance.

You can't edit the playlists when using a shared library. Your playlists would have to be changed from the Mini that hosts the library.

So maybe I'm not asking the question correctly. What I'm trying to do is something I would think other people are already doing. Is there another setup that folks have employed which allows them to edit playlist from multiple PC's. Should I connect the external drive to the router and then change the itunes library to the external drive? Will this work has anyone tried this?
