Hello,
A looooong time ago I used that bug in the Mac App Store to get Angry Birds for free. After I got Angry Birds, I deleted Twitter because I didn't need it. Now, the App Store is telling me that I have an update to Twitter. When I click update, it tells me to sign in but the email in the "email" box isn't my Apple ID. If I try to type in my Apple ID and password to update it, it fails with unknown error 4. This happens no matter how many times I try. So what I was thinking is that there must be a .plist file that tells the App Store what apps I have installed and what apps need to be updated. I was hoping that someone could point me to this file so I could either tell the App Store that I either: a)don't have twitter installed (a permanent solution) or b) have the latest version of twitter installed (which I would have to change every time there's an update). Can anyone help me?
