Whenever I replace the batteries in my camera, the date and time reset and sometimes I forget to set them. This causes the photos to not appear in order in iPhoto. What software should I use to edit multiple EXIF files so that their dates and times are correct?

I also have a similar problem. I have a selection of photos which were taken by a relative. However, the images display and the info show that the picture was taken 3 years before my son was actually born.
I could do with a nice little program or a method on how I can edit at least the date it was taken to correct issues such as the one above.

Try using exiftool and automator, I did an automator script to rename my files based on the date they were taken.
