Can anyone tell me the best editing software for editing iPhone 4 videos on a PC?

When I transfer my iphone 4 videos to my PC, this is what happens:

(a) When viewing them in Quicktime, the videos are very choppy
(b) I try to edit them in Magix Movie Maker and they do NOT have sound

I am running Windows XP. Does anyone know the best software to edit these videos is for a PC? And why my videos are very choppy when transferred?

Thanks!

Anyone have any ideas why videos shot on iphone 4 show up choppy on my Quicktime?

I am running Windows XP Service Pack 2 - 1.8Ghz PC.

Thanks!

Upgrading Processor work?

Does anyone think that an upgrade of the computer's processor would help this problem - say to a 2.3 GHZ?

Or is getting a new computer the best option? Is it the video card?

Can you help?

Without knowing anything about your setup besides you're running XP (which is...general to say the least) it would be hard to pinpoint what the problem is. It's not necessarily that your box isn't beefy enough to handle the video (good way to check is to go to apple trailers and watch something on 720), it could be something else.

Sorry. Here's a more detailed run down of the computer I have:

Compaq Presario SR1520NX
Windows XP Home Service Pack 2
CPU: AMD Sempron 3100 1.808 GHZ core speed, cache 64KB 2 way
RAM: 1.37GB
HD: 286GB HD (with 140GB Free Space)
Graphics: SiS 760, 128MB

I haven't tried those trailers yet, but maybe this info would help...Let me know.

Thanks!

So, I downloaded a 720p trailer from iTunes and it totally worked fine on my computer. I also downloaded VLC - which is a media player and I was able to view my videos pretty well. Just a tiny bit choppy.

My question now is: What is a good editing software for a PC? One that works really well for editing iphone 4 videos? Anybody have any recommendations?
