So I thought it was interesting to see that the Apple Watch Edition comes with both a magnetic charging case and a lightning-to-USB cable as well as the usual pack-ins.

What is the lightning cable for?

Maybe it is used as the power supply to charge the magnetic charging case?? That's the only thing that I could think of....
