So I saw that a member is an editor? What is an editor exactly? Is this the same as a moderator?

You're probably referring to longofest. He selects topics and writes stories for the main site. He has many of the forum permissions of mods and gods in order to be able to do this, but he doesn't play a very active role in moderation of the forums.
