Edits are not visible

I just edited a post I wrote and noticed, that it didn't say that post was edited. I think it should be noted that a post was edited, when, and by whom.

There is a time frame where after the post is made and then you edit it, it won't show. But after that time frame has past, any edits will then be shown. I don't know how long it is, but perhaps a minute or two.

I think the time window is 5 minutes. After that, it will say it was edited.

Correct. Same goes with DMs but DMs are restricted to editing after like half an hour they are sent.
