I'm about to get in the car to drive over to my Apple store and get an MBP.

I wanted to know though do they ask for school ID in the store before they give the education discount? Do they ask any questions? Do they size you up before they give you the discount to figure out if you're a college student? And do i just tell them i need the edu discount at the register or earlier than that?

They'll ask for your student ID and your license to prove the discount. Other things could work, too, though.. like an acceptance letter or logging into your school's site.

Student ID or if you know your number and have your license with you then they'll give it to you. I think the just do randoms checks (afterwards) because there's really no way for them to do it on site or when you buy.

Congrats on your new purchase, BTW.:)

They were freaking sold out... I'm so overly pissed right now. Thanks for your help.
