Hi,
Am I wrong or do I really can't get edu deiscount as a high school student (grade 12 ) in Canada?
That just really doesnt make sense .
Or is there another way?
bye!

Am I right in remembering Canadian high schools as having a grade 13 before you attend university?

I'm not sure about Apple's policies in Canada specifically, but I know that in the U.S. you can only get a higher-education discount if you've been accepted to a college/university, not when you're just in high school.

hm that's weird ...
nope i'm going to university next year without going to 'grade 13' ahah.

Why is that weird, it is a higher education discount for a reason...once you are at university/college level.

Do they actually check? I put in my college before i was actually "accepted" but knew i would be and knew I was coming here and I got the discount...

Yes they do random validations on the purchases made through edu. They will then charge you the difference for it. In the case you don't pay the difference , as an aquaintence of mine attemtped to do, they will send a collection lawyer for it. It is a breach of contract when you make that purchase and are not eligible. It is also generally frowned upon by this community. Just wait it out or pay full price.

Or if you can not wait, buy it from Amazon.com.uk

I'm not sure if they have rebates but after the rebate, you are actually paying less than the educ. discount Apple offers.
