education discount 3year warranty on cinema display

jst found out about the 3year warranty on education discount!

does this apply to only my macbook pro or will it apply to my cinema display and time capsule aswell?

i bought apple care not realising that the 3year warranty was already on the machine as it was bought through education discount! can i get my money back?
