I am planning to travel to the US from Canada, and was wondering if I'm still eligible to get the education discount despite being from out of the state/country. Of course, I will have a Canadian school ID with me. Does anyone have experience buying from a different country/state?

I don't think it matters. I bought a Macbook Pro in Switzerland and was able to use credentials from a US institution to do so. The Terms and Conditions doesn't say anything about having to be in the US if you're faculty, staff, or student.

Higher Education - Faculty and staff of Higher Education institutions; and students attending, or accepted into a Higher Education institution are eligible to purchase. Purchases from the Apple Store for Education Individuals are not for institutional purchase or resale.

Had a friend who tried at Walden Galleria in Buffalo, NY (went to Univeristy of Toronto). They didn't accept it. Need to be an accredited US school. Not saying it will happen to you, they might take it. They also might not. Depends who you get.
