Hi,

I recently ordered a new MBP online from Apple and used an education discount. They didn't ask for verification. It is in the "Processing" stage. Do they do spot checks after this point? I am wondering if I should get my scanner out to scan my school ID, or if they usually ask before this point then I won't need to find it, it is buried in my basement.....

Thanks!

Occasionally.

I wouldn't worry about it unless they ask for it.

If they need it they will send you an email asking for you to email them a copy of your student ID. It's very rare though.

I was told that they ask for the ID before sending out the Order Acknowledgement email so if you've received the confirmation in your email inbox then you should be fine.
