Education discounts on brand new products?

Does Apple offer education discounts on brand new products, e.g. can I purchase one of the new MacBook Pros this Thursday at a discounted price like usual?

These are all rumors. Last year, the MBP saga went on for months after we had leaks just like this. If the MBP is indeed updated on Thursday, you can use the education discount.

If the education discount is available on a product it is available regardless of how long after the release it is at the time of purchase.

It's almost a sure thing now. Apple's not even shipping MBP's until Thursday now.
