I have a question. By september 20th, the educational discount is no longer good. My question is, yes you won't get the $100 itunes/apps store gift card, but do you lose the additional discount on seleted models as well?

The education discount is always available. Only back-to-school promotions expire.

Meaning, i still get the discount on selected models if i enter my school right?

I don't care about the $100 gift card.

Why care about student discount?

Why do you care about the student discount? Usually the prices at like Macmall are even cheaper than the price wheyou up include the student discount. I would check out the pricing guide at apple insider.com

Is the printer rebate still available after september 20th?

Nope, that is the back to school promotion which expires today.

I'll check those out, been hearing a lot from these sites...

I don't care about the $100 gift card.

The gift card is worth over $75 or more after fees if you sell it on ebay. $75 in your pocket is something to consider. You may have no use for it, but others do and those $100 card seem to sell for $85-$95. Just sayin... :D

I went to buy last week but my card was declined for some technical reason, if I go again on Friday, do you think there is any chance of them offering me the printer rebate?

Nope, that is the back to school promotion which expires today.

The $100 Back to School Card is the only Back to School Promotion...

The $100 Printer Rebate is not part of the Back to School Promotion...

The $100 Printer Rebate does not end on September 20th...

The $100 Printer Rebate can expire at any time without notice...

...This is explained in the first paragraph of the Terms & Conditions...

When buying an iMac for example...

MacMall gives you less options to customize your order...

This is at an additional cost...

Apple gives you more options to customize your order...

...between a wireless keyboard or wired keyboard

...between a magic mouse or magic trackpad

This is at no additional cost...

Something to keep in mind if you already have one of those...

You can get the other for free...

I just bought an iMac from the Apple Education Online Store...

And I already had a wireless keyboard & magic mouse...

So I selected the wired keyboard & magic trackpad instead...

Also...

Apple has the $100 Printer Rebate...

There is an Epson Printer available for $99.95...

So if you buy the printer with the computer from Apple...

You can get a free printer...

Or could even sell the printer after you get your rebate...

In conclusion...

....Apple + $100 BTS Card + $100 Printer Rebate + Re-Sale of Printer = MacMall Sucks!

At macmall, their 13" Air discount is $49.01 off. At Apple.com, it's $50 off. Macmall is actually more expensive, why would you buy it there.

Yes, I am counting student discount
