Being that Thread is the latest trend in the smart home market, just a heads up that the eero Pro, Pro 6 and Beacons do have Thread built in, in case anyone is interested. Not sure about the non Pro versions though. You can enable it in the eero app settings and will require a reboot of your network. I noticed this a couple years ago when I first started with eero but didn’t pay much attention to it. Thread is starting to pick up now though.

I have the Eero Pro WiFi 6 replacing the AmpliFi HD. With a symmetrical setup of 3 routers the Eero does a better job than the AmpliFI with router and 4 Meshpoints. AompliFi work great through their FW 2.x, but I ran into a lot of intermittent problems with the change to 3.x. I have a lot of devices and a noisy environment.
WiFi 6 with my M1 is great for high throughput. Even my IoT devices stay connected much better.
I have not tried Thread. Since I use it in bridge mode I have not been able to test Eero HomeKit integration. It does work with HomeKit devices.
Main advantage for me is "set and forget."
But I still have trouble with iPhone AT&T WiFi phone connections that are not an issue with Android. AT&T connectivity in our area has been very annoying. Apple devices also have a weakness in not handing off nicely at times.
