Has this update resolved all SATA III beach ball problems, or do some people with SATA III drives still experience problems even after the latest Mac Firmware update?

Using an M4 here with the latest firmware/ EFI 2.2 and with TRIM enabled. No stuttering, jerkiness or any hdd related beach balling whatsoever. Works perfectly.

Thanks, how was it before the update? For months, I fought to get two M4s to work, eventually capitulating to the beach balls after nearly a month. 002 didn't suffice, and aside for more impressive benchmarks, neither did 009. Throughout it all, I suspected the only answer was a firmware update for Mac. Sure enough the release comes as soon as trade in the M4 for a SATA II drive.

Late post I have a 17 that nothing would fix the SATA3.
I read many people were happy with the 2.2 update.
I did the update and put the Crucial M4 back in.
No one stutter yet!!!
Before the firmware it was obvious whiten minutes that is was not happy.
lots of beach balls.
I am very happy with it.:D
