Hi,

I have three times tried to update to the latest EFI update revision through Software Update - every time it tells me it's all gone through, and it reboots as expected. When I check Software Update again, the update is still there and it says I need it. Has anyone else had this?

My BootROM/EFI revision (post attempted update) is: MBP81.0047.B24

I do not know the version # of the EFI firmware made available today to compare.

Thanks in advance :)

my update was flawless

my Bootrom version is:
MBP81.0047.B27

mine updated flawlessly, but was surprised that 10.7.3 update was smooth too.
my friends 13" got currupted didn't want to boot.

Resolved it myself, thanks :)

I'm sorry about your friend's Mac... hope they get it sorted! Is it alright now?

Haha, good stuff :) Wouldn't wish a dead computer on anyone, it's a huge stress!

mine won't update. it comes up with "unsupported error" message that comes up.

I don't know what to suggest mate, and it wouldn't be me to mess around with low-level firmware... have you contacted Apple?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Mine took two separate downloads and updates to work. Strange. Early 2011 17".

how?

I am having the same issue on my 11" MacBook Air with EFI update 2.4. It downloads, installs, tells me it was successful, reboots and then doesn't update anything. If I run Software Update again, boom, it's there. It's done this repeatedly with Software Update and also the manual download from the Apple website. It's driving me insane.

I even went so far as to turn off Filevault 2 and decrypt my drive to make sure that wasn't interfering, but it makes no difference.
