I use an Egg credit card regularly and they have a feature on their website called 'Money Manager' that lets you view all your accounts, from any online bank anywhere. I can link my current account, savings account (all with a different bank) and credit card all in one place. Quite handy. Works great on the PC but dosen't work on the Mac. Why? Egg say in an email:

"Egg Money Manager is currently only available to PC users running Microsoft Internet Explorer and there's currently no plans to support Macs yet.

When using Money Manager your online security details are safely stored using Microsoft ActiveX; Microsoft ActiveX is only compatible with Internet Explorer on PC's.

We've undertaken detailed research and believe that ActiveX provides the best solution for the needs of this product. Unfortunately, until a suitable alternative to ActiveX is available then access to Money Manager will be limited to PC users of Internet Explorer.

If you have any further queries, please contact me again."

So, I know nothing about ActiveX - is there any other way? Thoughts?

Egg money manager works on the Mac if you use MS Internet Exploerer under Darwine.

If they are unaware that this is even possible, as it appears to be from their statement, then so much for their 'detailed research' into the security needs of their account holders. What else are they unaware of?

It's possible, but a bit of a hack, so I don't blame them for not supporting it! Still - it works for me....

Can anyone help me? I've got IE6 under Darwine installed. When I try and download the safe on the Egg site, it just crashes. I'd really love to get this going on my Mac.
