I am looking for an answer regarding eGPUs and its connections to the monitor or displays.
Black Magic just announced its newest version, the Vega 56 eGPU Pro. Since it's not upgradable, I would not care so much, however one little detail surprises me. They have added a Display Port below the HDMI port compared to the standard model.
Does this open up the possibility, to connect the Black Magic eGPU Pro to any Display via Display Port 1.4 and have it running on a regular Mac Pro 5.1 via Display Port ?
What is missing to make this a reality?
