The Triangle
After WAY too many hours of chasing my tail, I come to this esteemed body for assistance...

As the thread title says, I cannot get my new-to-me RX580 Gaming Box to be recognized in either MacOS or Windows (Bootcamp). I want it to work with MacOS BTW, only did Windows to see if I could get it to do SOMEthing...

In Windows the machine will not boot with Thunderbolt connected to the box (hangs with a screen flicker). I can manage to get drivers installed by connecting it after boot, but the Device Manager says that there are not enough resources to run the device, and to disable another device. Sadly, I HAVE no other 'device' to disable. Hence I'm stuck there.

In MacOS Monterey, I get a VERY slow boot—10x longer than with the box not connected—(verbose mode shows a bunch of failures that are really obscure; not sure what they are as they stream by at lightspeed...) that eventually does move forward, and like many here, it shows up in system info, but it doesn't do anything, i.e. no video out.

I've unplugged for minutes and hours at a time, reseated the card, connected after boot, during boot, etc. Updated drivers in Bootcamp, which always fail to load after restart, done a factory driver reset in Bootcamp. I cannot flash the BIOS as the Aorus BIOS tool will not recognize the card in Bootcamp, so it won't let me load a new BIOS, and I do not have a 'real' PC at my disposal.

I will be really cranky if I spent (way too much) money on this thing and I can't get it to even be recognized by my machine. FWIW, the USB hub onboard DOES work. All fans (PS enclosure and video card) DO run when Thunderbolt is connected, and I am using an active TB cable.

Help?!?
