HI
I was looking at buying a external hard drive and came across this on the the Apple Store
G-Tech 4TB G-DRIVE USB Hard Drive
it looks good and has large storage and the price is not to bad , any ideas ?

I have the same external hard drive that I've owned since January 2013. I use it for Time Machine backups.

The only complaints I have are, it isn't the quietest external hard drive that I have used, but it certainly isn't the loudest. And the LED on the front which is lit when powered on, flashes when the drive is accessing, is a bit bright.

I use USB 3 with this drive and find it fast and have had no issues with it whatsoever in the time I've owned it.

It looks really nice too and matches the aluminium finish on my Mac. The drive is built like a tank too, it's completely incased in aluminium and this helps with heat dispersion.

At the time I purchased it, it was the best value for money for 4TB of storage.
