Either undeleting a cancelled calendar event or getting calendar to pick up new event from email

so basically two entirely different questions, but both relating to getting the same info into my calendar.

Have flights booked from lufthansa. email came in with itinerary and calendar automatically realised these were dates and asked if i wanted added to calendar. yes thanks.

then lufthansa emailed to say they had cancelled my flights, but actually they have just been rearranged but i had to phone them to choose new ones.

Now Calendar has the original emailed flights but with a line through saying cancelled. I want the details into my calendar but ive tried uncancelling the event, including editing the event thinking that will make it be live, and ive tried emailing myself the flight details hoping it will ask me if i want to add them to a calendar. neither works.

any ideas?

EDIT still interested in how to edit cancelled events, but deleting them, and then opening the lufthansa app had the option of add to calendar so all sorted.
