All,

I am new to the ipod touch and have a new 2g 32gb model. My last pod was a classic. In order to remove the classic from your computer, you needed to eject the device thru itunes first. In fact, the screen displayed a crossed out symbol and something in the effect of eject ipod first then unplug. Is this still the case for the new 2g touch or can you remove it from itunes without ejecting?

You don't have to eject it, just wait till it's done syncing and iTunes will say something like "it's ok to disconnect". Now that's on a Mac I have no idea how it works on Windows.

yeah, iTunes should just say "OK to disconnect."
the classic can run in "disk mode" and then you need to eject it like any other removable disk (external HDD, thumb drive, etc.). the touch can't run in disk mode so you can remove it once iTunes says it is done syncing.
