I have a 08 MBP that i had to reinstall the os(was Yosemite) so i installed El Capitan all is well except i can't connect to any of my network drives or shares. I can access the internet. I can ping the computers and drives. I can even see them in the side panel. But if i connect to server I get "there was a problem connecting to the server. contact your system administrator for more information". I have tried afp and smb to connect and i get nothing. If i try to browse to the ip address i get "webpage is not available" even though at least two of the IPs have admin pages. I can get to all of these resources from my new MBP with El Cap, so they are there.

Anyone know what i can do to fix this?

Thank you!
