El Capitan (Boom)

I've recently installed El Capitan... all seems to be well apart from the volume on my mac book pro. I've been using "boom" to boost my volume, the equaliser is useful when listening to music. Since instilling El Cap my volume is very low (even when on max) boom seems to be inactive. Anyone else having similar issues??

make sure you're on boom 2, the latest version....
