El Capitan GM stuck on waiting

Good Day Folks!

I received the email for the Public Beta, I clicked on the code redemption. The issue is, it has been stuck on waiting since yesterday (Sept. 9th). I am in the Mac App Store, under the purchased tab. Is there a way to resume the download? I tried to start over, but I get code already redeemed.

A friend of mine had exactly the same issue. Solution, for him at least, was to click on 'Store' from App Store menu and select 'Check for unfinished downloads'.
