El Capitan hanging up on login screen

Hi

I ungraded Sunday morning to el capitan on my 18 month old macbook air but have had nothing but issues, the machine boots to the login page, as soon as i press the keyboard i get the swirling spinning top, after say 10 minutes this changes and i can then enter my password and then back to the swirling spinning top and i cannot get any further than that, I can log in on safe mode but in safemode outlook will not load

I am getting ready to hurl my laptop at the wall if this continues

Yes this is happening to me since upgrading to El Capitan only after I've come from bootcamp... had to use apple-R to get to the disk utility and repair the OSX system
