Now sure how to describe this issue but I hope someone can help. I upgraded yesterday on my late 2013 iMac and discovered new behavior that I didn't have before when I'm playing a game on my main monitor with Safari (or another application) open on my other. What happens is if I click over to Safari the game will effectively be "paused" as in no updates (like the chat log) will be rendered until I click back over to the game application and then everything loads at once.

Is there a setting somewhere that I can enable to allow the game to display updates even when it's "in the background" like how it worked in Yosemite?

I haven't tried this yet, but I assume this issue would occur both ways. For example sometimes I play Netflix on my second monitor while working in another application. Does this mean the video won't play unless Safari is the active app?
