El Capitan VS Mavericks

Hi I'm testing El Capitan on an external hdd.

Mavericks is my main OS on the built in SSD of my rMBP13.

El Capitans UI seems way faster than Yosemite (even on external HDD) but I don't know if it can compare to Mavericks.

Has anyone compared El Capitan to Mavericks on a built in SSD? What would you say is snappier?
