Just received my Fire Red Element Ion case today from Amazon. I've gone through four iPhone 6 cases (Tech 21, Apple Silicone, Magpul, and Spigen Neo Hybrid Metal) looking for a case that provides a good combination of protection, good looks, slim form factor, and grip. The Tech 21 case made the phone feel too big, and was too slippery. The Apple Silicone was slim and had great grip but was a dust and pocket crud magnet, and the bottom was unprotected. The Spigen was also very slim, fit well, and looked great, but the metal band made it very slippery to hold and decreased the signal about one bar. The Magpul was a pretty good combination of protection, slimness, and grip, but I just didn't like the sandpapery feel, and the odd cutout at the top with the sharp edge was a pain in the ear (literally) when talking on the phone. The Element Ion may finally be what I'm looking for in a case. It's very slim, more than the Magpul, fits great, has a wonderful ergonomic grip, and the case has just the right amount of roughness and texture without feeling like sandpaper. It's distinctive and very nice-looking (in my opinion), easy to put on and take off, lightweight, and the carbon fiber back adds a nice look and feel. The only downsides so far are the volume buttons, which are clicky but a little stiff, and the price ($49). Right now it's a keeper, and it's worth that to me if it holds up well and provides the other things I'm looking for in a case.
