Years ago, I used to buy knock off ElementCase aluminum bumpers (like the BlackOps) off some Chinese wholesaler. Since then, I have stopped buying anything that's not 100% authentic, because I want the money to go to the designers so they can keep designing.

My question is this: Obviously, the knock offs were worth $20, but are the authentic really worth the $200 price tag? Or should I just stick with my usual Spigen cases?

Thanks for any help from previous owners :)

I bought a Element case(direct from them) for my 4S years ago and from memory it cost me somewhere around £145 and I later got one from china for under £20 and the one made in china was way better quality.

Well that is depressing! Thank you for sharing your experience.
