Sorry for the newbish question, I searched and searched the forum, but couldn't answer it on my own...

WHAT is with all the references to hearing about something in an elevator? What does this mean, and where did it come from?
 
When something isn't anounced yet people here post "pictures" and "confirmations" of said rumor that were taken/heard about in an elevator. It's all nonsense really.
 
It's a play on the common idea that all new Apple products can be spied on whilst in the fabled elevators at 1 Infinite Loop. I want to spend a day at Apple just standing in one of their elevators. If I don't see any new products, I'd still probably meet His Jobsness!
