Elgato 250 Plus or Elgato Hybrid?

Which one is better...? I have latest generation Macbook Pro and Mac Mini so do I really need the hardware encoding boost? Other than that, is there any advantage to the 250 Plus? It seems that the Hybrid does everything other than the hardware encoding and the Hybrid even has a FM Radio Tuner (not that I need it...)

You don't need the hardware encoding - that was only really an issue on PowerPC macs. Stick with the hybrid, as it has more features and will likely be supported longer. Plus you can get slightly older ones without the new features like the FM tuner at a better price.
