Elgato EyeTV for DTT

So, i am thinking about getting this with my new mac...

theres just one thing i am unclear about...

can i put in to this a satelite or an xbox or anything with av...? this would be a plus for the free to air satelite we have so we can record, and ideally this would be one of its main uses...

any help would be appreciated...
