Ok so I've just setup my 27" iMac with my stereo system and looking now to hookup my slingbox/receiver to it. The Elgato Hybrid looks like a possibility but not sure it can take an HD feed thru coax?
Also I am aware the hybrid relies on the iMac's CPU to do the conversion/encoding, am I asking for trouble trying to watch HD content this way?
Also wondering if I can hook up the Sling box between the receiver and the iMac since the Hybrid only has coax connection and even the higher end Elgato only has AV or Coax.
Is there an option out there to send HD 1080i content to an iMac via USB or some adapter to push it thru the display port?
