Posted this earlier in the macOS High Sierra forum, but, on second thought, realized this may be the best forum for feedback.
Using Elgato Video Capture for VHS tape conversion on iMac (2017) running High Sierra (10.13.6). The application's preferences lists two video format options: MPEG-4 and H.264. Have attempted to change preference to MPEG-4, but resulting files are still rendered in H.264 format. Have trashed the application and downloaded and installed several times. Still get the same result. Also, there is a feature that allows the user to specify the length of time the conversion is to last. The same number of minutes that was originally set continues to show up after several attempts at downloading and reinstalling the application. This leads to the conclusion that the application is referencing specs set previously somewhere in the computer.
Searched in preferences folder and nothing shows up for Elgato. In the "old" days one could trash the preference panel for the application and solve this problem.
Any input is welcome.
