Okay, so this is my first post...
I've been thinking about buying either an iBook or an eMac. I know that should be in "Buying Advice," but anyway...

Here's the actual question:

If I were to buy an eMac ($999 version) would I have to buy an Airport Extreme card, or would the slower Airport card also "fit?"

Thanx in advance,
reality

If it says Airport Extreme, it means only Airport Extreme. Airport requires a PCMCIA Port, where as AX uses a mini PCI port (AMR I belive).

Sorry Mate...

i wish you could plug in either because i don't really need that extra speed boost
In reality you probably don't. If you're just using it to surf the internet then the added speed of 802.11g will do absolutely nothing. 802.11b is already faster than your internet connection. If you're transferring files (especially if they are very large) on a network, that's where the 802.11g speeds come in handy--as long as the rest of your network is also running g.
