Does anyone know if I can take the motherboard from a 1.42GHz eMac and put it inside a 1.00GHz eMac model? I am planning to pick up a 1.00GHz model on Sunday because its CRT is practically brand-new while my 1.42's has some burn-in and flyback transformer whine. It would be nice to just swap the boards and drives and call it a day, but I know that the heatsinks could potentially be different and I don't want the 1.42GHz G4 to overheat if its heatsink is bigger and won't fit inside the 1.0's shell.

eMac logic boards can be swapped between models.
The Six Dollar eMac originally shipped as a 1.25 but I had to swap a 1.0 board in because the GPU was dead on the original. The two boards look effectively identical.

Pretty good find then! PowerPC stuff is starting to get prohibitively expensive nowadays.
