eMac Disc Tray Opening and Shutting.

I have an 800MHz eMac with 1GB of ram. Every once in a while, it will start to do this thing randomly where the disk tray will open and close repeatedly forever, you can either try and keep it shut for a while and MAYBE it will stop or I have to hold the power button and it will stop. It is really annoying. Another thing is the disc tray is too weak to push itself all the way out with the door in the way. Please help.
