I have a Belkin FireWire 400 to 800 cable that I wish to use between my eMac G4 ATI and my iMac Early 2008. I want to do this as my eMac G4 cannot read my Leopard installation DVD (it's Dual Layer) and I believe it's because it only has a combo drive. Is it possible to enter TDM on the eMac and install Leopard through the iMac Early 2008's SuperDrive? I tried the other day however the eMac would just shut off after plugging in the belkin cable between both machines.. am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
Alex

Try connecting both Macs first (with the eMac off). Then turn on the eMac in TDM and see what happens.
