Hey everyone. I have an eMac that maxes out at 1GB of RAM and runs a 1GHz PPC G4. I currently have leopard on it, and it seems the longer I have had leopard running, the slower my system becomes. Would it speed things up to downgrade to Tiger? There are a lot of features in Leopard that I use in conjunction with my other computers, so I would like to find some way to get my computer running fast while keeping Leopard if anyone has any suggestions. The speed is becoming somewhat unbearable at the moment. Thanks

That shouldn't be happening with any version of Mac OS X. I feel there is probably something else going on. Perhaps some program you installed or are running?

Or maybe you're not quitting apps but rather closing their windows?

I always quit apps. I can't imagine any program I might have put on there that would do that. Maybe I will just try to do I clean install of Leopard on my HD and see if that helps.
