eMac Pin Point of light

on my girlfriends eMac 1.25ghz when she shuts down or puts it to sleep, as soon as the display shuts off there is a little pin point of super bright light for a quick moment. sort of a pin point flash in the center of the screen.

is this a common thing? or a sign of possible future display failure?

I've never seen that on a computer monitor before (but I think my 5" black & white TV used to do the same thing). As for a screen failure, I have no idea, if it is still covered by AppleCare just give them a call, if not go to your nearest Apple Store and pick someone's brain for a while.

Its normal, it happens because the CRT degausses....don't worry about it,
