when the new 1.25ghz eMac was announced, it kept its $799 price point.

yesterday i checked the apple.com store and was surprised to see it down to $749

now today it reads $799

what gives?!!?

You were probably inadvertantly on the Education site. Price never went down to $749 Retail.

I have to agree with the previous poster. Ed price is $749. Either that or Apple's people made a mistake. $799 is the price.
