Emac?

Hi,
i just bought a used 700mhz emac. It is my idea of an upgrade as i have been using a 400mhz imac for some time now.
Just wondering how i would erase everything(hard drive) when it arrives and reinstall all my software. Or should i just use it as it is if everything is working fine. Any other suggestions on what needs to be done would be appreciated.

What operating system do you have on your iMac? Do you have OS disks other than the system restore disks that came with it? If so, I would use the OS disks, boot up to them on the eMac, erase the hard drive, and install it. Then start up the eMac, and when you're setting it up, attach the iMac with a firewire cable and transfer your user account/applications over to the eMac (since they should have the same OS at that point).
