I just lost a fairly important and very large email. I did not knowingly delete it and I can find absolutely no trace of it anywhere what so ever:confused:. I asked the recipient to FWD it back to me, and she did, however, there seems to be a lot of text missing - hence the problem.

Anybody have any ideas where it may have gone? Does Mail.app have "secret" backup folders somewhere? I've searched in different ways but haven't found a trace of anything.

Please help....

Mac: iBook G4
OS X: 10.3.9
Mail.app: 1.3.11

If it is a recent mail and mail is set to delete from the server after a week or so ther is a chance that it is still on the server. Maybe you can acces it via webmail.

Thanks

My ISP/webmail don't archive outgoing email, however your reply helped me, and I have now recovered the "lost" message. Thanks a lot!!:)
