This has probably been covered, but I got this email from the Apple Store early this morning:

Dear Apple Store Customer,

You recently received a Shipment Notification email from Apple advising you that your iPhone has shipped.

This email is to confirm that your delivery will occur on June 23rd. Although Apple and FedEx tracking information may currently indicate a later date, you can check the FedEx website the morning of the June 23rd to track your package to your doorstep.

In the event that you will not be available to accept delivery on June 23rd, it may be more convenient to use our pre-sign delivery option by visiting our Order Status website at http://www.apple.com/orderstatus.

Sincerely,

The Apple Store Team

It looks as though Apple is rolling this out early, at least for those who ordered through them.

Sorry for the duplicate of another thread. This is real. Believe what you will, however I have been on this board a lot longer than you and have never posted something that has been questioned for its validity. Here is the raw source of the email with my info obscured.

Actually i have also been a member since 2002. I created a new account with my me.com email address last year.......

I wouldn't be admitting to that since the rules specifically prohibit multiple registrations.

I tried to delete my account but i could not figure out how to do it......... And i really wanted to get rid of that email address......

It was to childish for the adult world..........

I have gotten the email as well this morning.

I am surprised at this normally fedex would hold the shipment to release date.

If the email came from fedex or somewhere else i would not belive it but in fact came from apple so i am more prone to belive it.

The headers all look real. So do the links in the email.

Also someone said something about fedex still saying the 24th.
If you read the email it states most likely fedex will have delivery date not correct and to check fedex the morning of the 23rd for delivery.

I got this email as well. However, the tracking info through FedEx says it left Anchorage at 7:20 EST last night, and it hasn't updated since. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yha i think mine said that as well
Now its saying Oakland, CA

But keep in mind the letter states the deivery maybe off and to check on the morning of the 23rd.
