Email from Apple - Turn off Find My

I did a trade-in on my S3 Apple Watch and already sent it in. I erased but maybe I forgot to turn off Find My Watch before I did that. I received an email from Apple saying something like before we process your trade-in, you need to turn off Find My Watch. I looked in iCloud and it's showing offline. I can either Play a Sound, turn on Lost Mode, or Erase Device. I don't think I can turn off Find My Watch now. Should I just erase it and will that turn it off? I know I already erased it before I sent it in.

Looks to me like you should “remove from account” but you’re prob better suited to calling Apple.

It is, but it's not listed in there because I removed it before sending it back.

Did you trade in with Apple or a third party?

if a third party, call Apple support as it may be a theft attempt.
