I am using a 3rd party email app and when I click on email links in iMessage, emails, webpages, etc, it tries to take me to the App Store or says I don't have mail setup.

I then have to copy the address (sometimes can't) and paste into email app I use. Very annoying. Just now I was in audible app and tris to click to email customer service and got the "mail not setup in device" prompt and it doesn't even show me the address.

Is there a workaround or place to set default email app to use?

Yes.

Jailbreak your iPhone (if you are on a firmware that is jailbreakable) and install one of the handful of tweaks that allow redirects.

Otherwise, you'll have to keep dealing with this.

The default is embedded in the system and cannot be changed short of jailbreaking.

Gotcha. Maybe can activate mail and set it to not notify so can use links.

Can you set it to not "fetch" or push and only. be manual?

It depends on the email account you set it up with.

If it's an iCloud account I don't think so. But stuff like Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, yes. That's the default for those accounts.
